"I just want to share with you how I felt after my first restorative session with you. After a very long term, I was exhausted and dragged myself away from work at lunchtime to come along. I couldn’t believe the affect it had on me. Afterwards I felt like I’d been on holiday, amazing. I floated through the rest of the day at work and fell asleep at 9pm, not ideal on date night, but I certainly felt so much better for it. "
" I liked the idea of Restorative Yoga as it didn't sound too tasking, meaning I would be able to keep up. However, it was not about keeping up, it was about letting go and allowing my body to breathe and restore, which is what happens during each session.
Pre the session Yvonne tells you exactly what you need and how best to prepare your environment, and during the class, Yvonne talks you through each pose, but the best part is how my body feels after, my limbs are literally screaming "thank you".
Restorative Yoga, simply does what it says - enables restoration of body and mind."
"Yvonne teaches Restorative and Hatha Yoga. She appreciates and acknowledges the cultural roots of yoga, sharing the traditional messages and teachings from her teachers and their parampara, never appropriating. Yvonne takes time for Svadhyaya (self study) so that she is constantly growing and evolving and her classes are always for everyone, which is the way it should be but often isn’t in today’s yoga studios.
Adam first met Yvonne whilst teaching Yoga Philosophy to a group of teachers for another studio in London and we have stayed in touch since. We welcomed Yvonne to the teaching team during lockdown when everything went virtual and she has been teaching Wednesday nights Restorative Yoga at 8pm ever since, which has been SO well received. Her knowledge of Restorative Yoga and warm, kind, nurturing energy has been pure bliss".
